My goal for this packaging project was to fuse a graffiti aesthetic into a product that is overrun with elegant, script type and minimal design. Graffiti can be elegant. The winery name, "Tag," references graffiti tags (a graffiti writer's "tag" is their handwritten name). The name is short, simple and easy to remember when glancing through multiple wines in a supermarket or liquor store. To ensure safe travel, each bottle of Tag wine is placed in a brown paper bag and put into a package meant to resemble a can of spray paint.
All heading text was created with hand-cut stencils and spray painted. The type was then edited in Photoshop and printed on "Hello" stickers. Grommets and wire were used for the tag card hanging around the wine bottle's neck.
